Amanda Ferrill joined Harvard Athletics as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in August of 2018. She is responsible for covering women's basketball, men's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis and men's and women's volleyball.
No stranger to the Crimson, Ferrill served as an athletic communications intern from 2017-18, where she worked as the primary contact for men’s volleyball, men’s tennis, coed and women’s sailing and men’s and women’s fencing. She also served as the secondary contact for men’s hockey and women’s basketball.
Before joining Harvard's athletic communications staff, Ferrill served four years as an athletic communications assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She worked with all 21 varsity sports at UMass, working primarily for men’s hockey and men’s and women’s lacrosse.
Prior to her time at UMass Amherst, Ferrill has worked multiple internships in the communications/public relations field for the Philadelphia Flyers, Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation and Instinctif Partners.
A native of Havertown, Pennsylvania, Ferrill earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication in 2016 and Master’s Degree in Sport Management in 2018, both from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
