Kristan Strout joined the Harvard Varsity Club in November of 2014 after spending the previous eight years with the Harvard women's basketball program. After serving as the operations intern for the 2006-07 season, Strout took on the role of director of women's basketball operations the following year.

Strout is a 2004 graduate of Stonehill College. At Stonehill, she was a two-year captain of the women's basketball team under former Harvard player and assistant coach Trisha Brown '87. After graduating in 2004, Strout served as a graduate assistant and admissions representative at Husson College in Maine. She earned a master's in sports leadership from Northeastern in 2008 and a MBA from Husson University in 2013.
