Kristy Zurmuhlen was introduced as Harvard women's soccer's operations coordinator in August 2018. The 2021 campaign will represent her fourth with the program.

In the two seasons in which Harvard competed, Zurmuhlen has seen the Crimson post an overall record of 19-10-3 (9-3-2 Ivy League) and watched 10 players earn all-conference recognition.

In Harvard's most recent campaign, 2019, Zurmuhlen watched the Crimson log a 12-3-2 overall record, including a 5-1-1 mark in Ivy League action to finish second in the standings. Junior Murphy Agnew was tabbed the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year and was one of six Crimson players to earn All-Ivy honors. Additionally, Cammie Dopke and Taylor Nielson earned CoSIDA Academic All-District accoades in 2019. 

Zurmuhlen came to Cambridge after spending the previous three years as a sports performance and strength and conditioning coach. She was also an assistant coach at Boston College during the 2014-15 season, where she helped the Eagles to a nine-win campaign.

Zurmuhlen was a standout player at Stanford, where she graduated in 2012 after helping lead the Cardinal to the 2011 NCAA Championship over Duke. She was selected to the NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team as a result. She also pushed Stanford to four-consecutive Pac-10/Pac-12 titles, and to three final fours.
