Benjamin Schumacher

Ben Schumacher joined Harvard in January, 2011 as an assistantdirector of strength & conditioning.

Schumacher oversees the design and implementation for nine ofHarvard’s 41 varsity athletic programs and coordinates thedepartment’s internship program.

Schumacher came to Harvard after completing a graduateassistantship at Northwest Missouri State University where hecompleted a master’s degree in applied health science. Whileat NMSU, Schumacher worked with the school’s baseball,volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis and women’sgolf programs.

Previously, Schumacher served internship with the University ofNebraska and University of Iowa football programs while alsoworking for two years with Velocity Sports Performance.

A football team captain and three-time all-conference defensiveend, Schumacher graduated from Concordia University in St. Paul,Minn. in 2008 with a degree in exercise science.
