Jarrod Epkey enters his second season with the Crimson after joining Harvard’s coaching staff prior to the 2014-15 season.
In his first season at Harvard, the Crimson finished with a 7-12 overall record, including three victories over nationally ranked opponents. The doubles pair of sophomore Monica Lin and freshman Annika Ringblom earned second team All-Ivy honors, while freshmen Nikki Kallenberg and Ellen Jang-Milsten led the team in victories with 19 and 18, respectively.
Before making the move to Cambridge, Epkey spent one season at Middle Tennessee State, two years at Ball State and three years at the University of Indianapolis.
"Jarrod has great energy and enthusiasm for tennis," said head coach Traci Green, "he brings a breadth of experience having been at several different programs."
While working at Ball State, Epkey served as a Junior Davis Cup assistant coach with the Central Indiana Tennis Association. Epkey has gained additional experience as a tennis professional around the country and abroad, working in San Diego, Fort Collins, Colo., and with the Lifetime Tennis Academy in Brisbane, Australia.
Epkey played collegiate tennis at Ball State, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2008. He went on to earn a master’s degree in physical education from Ball State as well.
