Brendan Flynn joined the Harvard Athletics communications staff in March 2026 following seven years at Boston College, including two as Director of Football Communications.
At Boston College, Flynn oversaw communications and media relations for the football program, serving as the primary media contact and coordinating game day operations, press conferences and interview requests. He was a member of the program’s external leadership group and worked closely with marketing, creative and development staffs on messaging and content strategy. Flynn also managed digital and social media planning for the program and contributed to content production, including football programming on NESN.
During his time at Boston College, Flynn helped lead communications and content strategy across digital platforms and tracked analytics to inform planning and engagement efforts.
Prior to Boston College, Flynn was an assistant director of communications at the University of Oklahoma, where he worked with football, baseball and volleyball. His experience included coverage of multiple College Football Playoff bowl games. He also held communications roles at the University of Connecticut and Sacred Heart.
Flynn earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Springfield College and a master’s degree in sports administration from Boston College.
