Dave Borgonzi is in his third season as an assistant with theHarvard football program in 2011-12. He assists with the Crimsondefensive secondary.
Borgonzi recruits in Massachusetts and Connecticut as well asthe Atlantic section of the United States including Washington,D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
In 2009, Harvard ranked sixth nationally in pass efficiencydefense with three players being named all-league and cornerbackMatthew Hanson earning Rookie of the Year honors. In 2010, theCrimson ranked 16th nationally in total defense.
Prior to arriving in Cambridge, Borgonzi spent two seasons as agraduate assistant coach at Syracuse where he worked as theOrange's assistant defensive line coach while also assisting theprogram's recruiting and special teams efforts. While at Syracuse,Borganzi worked toward an advanced degree in education.
Borgonzi was a three-year starter while an undergraduate atAmherst College. Named a team captain in his senior year, Borgonzigraduated with a degree in law, jurisprudence and socialthought.
Borgonzi currently resides in Everett.
