Before UMass, Maltese worked as a Marketing & Fan Experience Assistant at Stony Brook Athletics, where he oversaw game presentation, sponsorship activations, and fan engagement initiatives across multiple sports. He also spent time with Minnesota United FC as a Social Media Associate, contributing to content strategy and audience growth across the club's digital platforms, and served as a Lead Marketing Intern at Penn State Athletics, where he coordinated game-day promotions and sponsorship fulfillment.

A native of Long Island, New York, Maltese earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Penn State University, graduating cum laude, and later completed an MBA in Marketing from Stony Brook University.
