Joe Franklin joined Harvard Athletics in December of 2024 as an Assistant Director of Multimedia & Production. Franklin arrived in Cambridge following a stint with ESPN.
While at ESPN, Franklin worked in several different roles from September 2022 through November 2024 beginning as a production assistant. Prior to coming to Harvard, Franklin served as an associate producer, working primarily to oversee all video production of ESPN Bet Live. Franklin’s role included producing full segments for linear TV, managing the ESPN Bet social media accounts, creating graphics for live shows, and providing guidance to production assistants.
Prior to arriving at ESPN, he served as a production assistant with ACC Network for four years. During his time with ACCN, Franklin gained experience in all aspect of broadcast operations.
Franklin graduated from Clemson University in 2022, with a Bachelor of Arts in communications, a Bachelor of Science in marketing and a minor in Spanish.
