Jon Williams, DAT, LAT, ATC, CSCS, CES, PES

Jon Williams joined the Harvard Sports Medicine staff as an Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2023. He currently coordinates care for the men’s and women’s track and field programs while also serving as an athletic trainer with the Harvard football team.
 
Prior to Harvard, Williams spent 4.5 years as an athletic trainer/strength and conditioning coach in the New Jersey Devils organization (NHL), including two years as the Head Athletic Trainer of the Utica Comets, the top minor league affiliate of the Devils. Prior to his time in professional hockey, Williams was an athletic trainer at Endicott College and UMass Lowell.
 
Williams graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine before serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer the University of Mississippi where he obtained a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology in 2012. Most recently, he completed his Doctorate in Athletic Training from Temple University in the Summer of 2024.
 
In addition to being a certified athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist, Williams is a corrective exercise specialist, certified in dry needling and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and completed courses in Active Release Techniques and course through the Postural Restoration Institute. In addition to his contributions at Harvard, he is an adjunct professor in the school of sport science at Endicott College.
