Tim Kamibayashiyama joined Harvard as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in July of 2023. He currently oversees all aspects of strength and conditioning for the Crimson’s women’s basketball, field hockey, softball, women’s rugby, nordic ski, and men’s lightweight rowing programs. He also assists with the Harvard football program.Â

Prior to joining the full-time staff, Kamibayashiyama served as graduate fellow for the Crimson during the 2022-23 school year, assisting with strength and conditioning efforts for all 42 varsity programs.

A 2019 graduate of Bob Jones University, Kamibayashiyama completed a pair of bachelor’s degrees in kinesiology and music performance while interning with the university’s sports medicine program. He gained further experience working in high school strength and conditioning before obtaining a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Merrimack College in 2023.

Kamibayashiyama holds certifications from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS, RSCC).Â
