Tim Kamibayashiyama joined Harvard as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in July of 2023, overseeing the strength and conditioning program design and implementation for the Crimson’s field hockey, softball, men’s swimming, women’ rugby, nordic ski, and men’s lightweight rowing programs. He also assists with the Harvard football program.
Prior to coming on full time, Kamibayashiyama served as graduate fellow for the Crimson during the 2022-23 school year, assisting with strength and conditioning efforts for all 42 varsity programs.
A 2019 graduate of Bob Jones University, Kamibayashiyama completed a pair of bachelor’s degrees in kinesiology and music performance while interning with the university’s sports medicine program. He then gained further experience as a strength and conditioning assistant at Travelers Rest High School before attending Merrimack College, where he obtained a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science in 2023.
Kamibayashiyama is a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
