Tim Troville arrived at Harvard in March 2013 and serves as the Crimson’s Senior Associate Director of Athletics – Facilities, Capital Projects and Events.
 
Troville is responsible for oversight of all aspects of Harvard’s athletic facilities, including facility management and maintenance, capital and master planning, construction management, event and personnel management, and management of a multi-million-dollar budget.
 
During his time in Cambridge, he has overseen the construction and renovation of 12 different athletics facilities for a portfolio that includes over one million square feet and 76 acres of athletic facilities and grounds. Troville also had oversight of the department’s business development opportunities, which has netted the Boston Calling Music Festival and led to special event collaborations with Fenway Sports Management, The Kraft Group and Madison Square Garden Co. 
 
Troville is currently the sport supervisor for Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey, Baseball, Field Hockey and Wrestling.  While at Harvard, he has also overseen Football, Sailing and Women’s Rugby. He has served as a liaison to The Ivy League for multiple sports. In the Spring of 2022, Troville added another impressive accolade to his resume as he was named to the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee while also serving as the Chair of the ECAC Hockey Committee for the 2022-23 season.  
 
Prior to his arrival at Harvard, Troville spent five years at nearby Tufts University. While in Medford, Troville served as the Jumbos’ Assistant Director of Athletics – Operations, Facilities and Game Management, handling daily facility management, construction management, master planning, event management and personnel management. Troville was responsible for 22 NCAA Division III intercollegiate and recreational athletic facilities that served 33 varsity teams and several clubs, student groups and classes.  During his tenure, he was the project manager for the renovation, restoration, and construction of four different venues, and served as the tournament manager for numerous NCAA Division III and NESCAC championship events.
 
Before returning to the Commonwealth, Troville was an Assistant Director of Athletics – Operations, Facilities and Game Management at Indiana State in Terre Haute from 2006 to 2008. For the Sycamores, he maintained and scheduled 10 NCAA Division I athletic facilities also managing the construction and renovation of four facilities. Included in his responsibilities was the negotiation of game guarantees for the football, men’s and women’s basketball programs. At the supervisory level, Troville provided guidance for six varsity teams and the strength and conditioning program. He was also the meet manager for three consecutive NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country Championships (2006-08).
 
Troville is a former Division I student-athlete (baseball), graduating from Northeastern University in 2001. He began his career in collegiate athletics following his graduation from Northeastern joining the Husky athletic department as an Assistant Operations Director, the first of many roles. He also doubled as an Assistant Baseball Coach, a position he held for five seasons. Troville added director duties for the Husky Athletics Club in February 2005, supervising a staff of six, managing the department’s corporate sponsorship program and university’s logo licensing program, while marketing all athletic programs and events. He transitioned into the role of Athletic Development Associate in the Fall of 2005. Troville guided the annual fund to a record-setting year, increasing revenue by 30 percent. 
 
Troville also served as the 2006 NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four Tournament Manager during his time at Northeastern. Appointed by the Boston local organizing committee as the NCAA’s point person in September 2004, the event culminated in the crowning of a national champion in April 2006 at TD Garden.
 
Troville received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2001 from Northeastern, majoring in communication studies with a minor in journalism, while participating for the Husky baseball team. Troville earned a Certificate in Finance in December 2021 and a Certificate in Strategic Management in December 2022 from the Harvard University Extension School. He completed his ALM, Management in the Spring of 2023. Troville resides in Canton, Mass., with his wife Danielle Poirier and two sons Timothy, 10, and Donovan, 8.
