Tony Hong joined Harvard Athletics as its Director of Compliance in August 2022.

Hong joins Harvard from Syracuse, where he held the position of Director of Compliance.

At Harvard, Hong will assist in all aspects of the department’s compliance efforts within Ivy League and NCAA rules and regulations.

Hong joined Syracuse in December 2018 and assisted in all aspects of SU’s compliance efforts. Prior to joining Syracuse, Hong worked in the athletic compliance offices at Ole Miss and Washington. 

Hong earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Oregon in 2012 and received his master’s degree in education in intercollegiate athletic leadership from Washington in 2015. In addition to obtaining his master’s, Hong was UW’s 2015 Degree Project of the Year recipient. He earned a project management certificate from Syracuse in 2022.
