At the NCAA Fencing Championships last weekend, junior captain Jonas Hansen won the men’s epee NCAA Individual Championship.  Hansen is the Harvard men’s fencing eighth individual national champion in school history. He is also the third Crimson epee national champion in school history, their first since Benjamin Ungar in 2009. Hansen went 16-7 in the round-robins, earning him a spot in the semifinals. In the semifinals, he defeated Columbia’s Teddy Lombardo 10-9 and then secured his title by defeating Ohio State’s Paul Veltrup 15-10 in the finals.
