Football Tailgating Information
Football general admission parking and tailgating is located on McCurdy Track at the closed end of Harvard Stadium. Fans can enter the Harvard Athletics complex through Gate 14, located on Soldiers Field Road, and will be directed by security personnel to their parking location.
In an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all fans and spectators, Harvard Athletics, in cooperation with the Harvard University Police Department, has established the following policies regarding tailgating within the Athletics Complex. Harvard University is a great place to tailgate; however, rules are strictly enforced!
Guidelines
- Guests who park within the Athletics complex (gates 8, 14, 16 and 20) are welcome to tailgate at their vehicles. Tailgating is not permitted, however, for fans who park in the Harvard Business School lot.
- All parking lots open 3 hours prior to kickoff for tailgating. Lots will close 1 hour following the end of the game. There is no tailgating permitted during the game. Tailgating is not permitted following night games.
- Each vehicle is permitted 1 parking space and the area directly behind the vehicle for tailgating. You may not block aisles or other vehicles from parking.
- Commercial vehicles (U-Hauls), RV's, Winnebagos, and trucks are not permitted in any parking facility. Corporate sampling, and promotional vehicles MUST have prior written permission by Harvard Athletics Marketing to enter any parking lot. To obtain permission, please contact Joe Bradlee at jbradlee@fas.harvard.edu
- Beer kegs and items that promote the rapid consumption of alcohol are not permitted at any University Athletics function or event. No individual or group may transport a keg to a University Athletics event.
- Grills using charcoal are prohibited within the Athletics complex. The maximum propane gas cylinder size allowed is 20 pounds.
