CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's
lacrosse team, coming off an 8-5 season in 2009, has been ranked
12th in the 2010 LaxNews preseason national poll, the publication
announced Monday. The Crimson is one of four Ivy League teams
tabbed in the poll, along with No. 6 Cornell, No. 11 Princeton and
No. 16 Brown.
Under the guidance of John Tillman, the Frisbie Family Head Coach
for Harvard Men's Lacrosse, Harvard posted a 3-3 conference
record last spring. The team's eight victories marked the
most for the program since the 2002 season. The Crimson reached as
high as No. 11 in the national rankings during the season and
opened the year with a 9-6 victory at Duke.
Tillman, who is entering his third season with the Harvard program,
welcomed the nation's third best recruiting class to the
Crimson this season, according to Inside Lacrosse magazine.
