BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- Former Harvard standout
Caitlin Fisher '04 has signed a developmental contract with the
Chicago Red Stars of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS), the Red
Stars announced this week.
Fisher, currently a midfielder, was named to the All-Ivy League
first team as a defender in 2001 and 2002 and helped the Crimson
reach the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2001.
She was promoted from the Red Stars' exclusive W-League
affiliate club, Chicago Red Eleven and appeared in one match with
the Red Eleven this season. Fisher, who appeared on Chicago's
active roster for Saturday's match with St. Louis, has previous
professional experience in the W-League and the Women's Premier
Soccer League (WPSL). Fisher has also played internationally
in Brazil and Sweden.
