Box Score BOSTON, Mass. – Behind a first-half goal from freshman Margaret Purce, Harvard women's soccer knotted Boston University, 1-1, Tuesday night at Nickerson Field.
The Crimson (6-3-2) is unbeaten over its last eight contests. It marked Purce's team-leading seventh goal of the season. Harvard was able to fight off 13 BU shots, while the Crimson took six shots.
The Terriers (8-3-2) struck first in the 13th minute, as Megan McGoldrick struck a one timer from the middle of the box.
Purce answered 15 minutes later, beating a BU defender down the left side. The rookie pushed a shot past keeper Andrea Green to even the ledger.
Freshman Lizzie Durack and junior Cheta Emba split time in net, making a combined three saves.
Harvard returns to Ivy League play at Cornell. Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m.
