The Storyline
The Harvard men's lacrosse team will make its debut inside Harvard
Stadium as it puts its two-game win streak on the line against
Albany Tuesday, March 26 at 7 p.m.

Last Time Out
Peter Schwartz and
Carl
Zimmerman recorded three points each and the visiting Harvard
men's lacrosse team had an answer for every Dartmouth run in a 9-6
win Saturday afternoon at Scully-Fahey Field.
After goals by Zimmerman and Schwartz late in the first quarter
and early in the second, respectively, gave the Crimson a 2-0 lead,
Dartmouth rallied to tie once and get with again a goal on two
other occasions. Each time, Harvard countered with two goals,
keeping the Big Green from ever claiming the lead.
Schwartz and Zimmerman each scored two goals and assisted on
another, as the Crimson won for the third time in the last four
games. Five other Harvard players scored once each, and Harry
Krieger made 13 saves, including five in the fourth
quarter.
Scouting Albany
Albany, which is receiving votes in both the Nike/Inside
Lacrosse Media Poll and the USILA Div. I Coaches Poll, enters play
Saturday coming off an 18-12 loss to Bucknell to fall to 4-3 on the
year.
The Great Danes are led by Lyle Thompson who has turned in 47
points this season on 16 goals and 31 assists. Ty Thompson has
added 19 goals and seven assists for 26 points while Miles Thompson
has chipped in 17 goals and six assists for 23 points. Blaze
Riorden has seen the bulk of the time in goal and sports a 4-1
record with a .465 save percentage and a goals against average of
13.97. Kevin Glueckert is the team's primary face off specialist
and has won 80 of the 177 face offs he has taken.
Inside the Series
Harvard and Albany met for the first time ever in 2011
with the Great Danes earning a 12-11 victory over the Crimson. Daniel
Eipp recorded a hat trick in the loss while Dean Gibbons '11
added four points on two goals and two assists.

Streaking
The Crimson has won two straight and three of its last
four to improve to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the Ivy League. Harvard
has not won three straight games since 2011 when it defeated
Princeton, Yale and Penn to reach the Ivy League Tournament
finals.
Player of the Week
Goalkeeper Harry Krieger has earned a pair of player of
the week honors this season, most recently receiving the award from
the Ivy League on March 25. The senior turned away 28 shots while
allowing just 11 goals as the Crimson defeated both Bryant and
Dartmouth, finishing the week with a .718 save percentage and a
5.50 goals against average. Krieger was also named the NEILA Player
of the Week on March 11 after recording 12 saves in Harvard's 8-6
win over Georgetown.
Krieger currently ranks third in the Ivy League and 15th in the
NCAA with an 8.29 goals against average. His .586 save percentage
leads the Ancient Eight and is the 10th best in the nation, while
his 11.71 saves per game also pace the conference and rank him 14th
in the country.
Young Gun
Freshman Devin Dwyer
currently ranks ninth in the Ivy League with 3.00 points per game
and is seventh in the conference with 1.57 assists per game. Dwyer
has recorded a least one point in all seven of Harvard's games this
season and has tallied multiple points in five outings.
Getting Defensive
Freshmen Robert
Duvnjak has started six games for the Crimson on defense and
entered the week ranked 21st in the NCAA with 1.83 caused turnovers
per game. Duvnjak made his collegiate debut against UMass and
registered four caused turnovers, then added four more as Harvard
defeated Georgetown.
Duvnjak's 11 caused turnovers are six more than any other member
of the Crimson while his 16 ground balls rank third on the
team.
White Hot
Senior Alex White
registered a hat trick in each of the Crimson's first two games and
currently ranks third on the team lead with 15 points (12g, 3a)
from the midfield. White entered the season with 31 career points
(19g, 12a) after having played in 41 of Harvard's 42 games over the
previous three seasons.
Facing Off
Senior Rick
Molé had a career day at the face off X against Brown,
winning 15-of-20 draws while collecting four ground balls.
Molé, who entered the year having taken just 32 face offs in
his career, boasts a .527 winning percentage at the X this season
as the team's primary specialist.
Staying Grounded
Junior Gabriel
Mendola set a career-high with 10 ground balls at Brown. He is
the first Crimson to recorded double-digit ground balls since
Keegan Michel did so on April 10 of last season with 10 against
Quinnipiac.
Sharing the Wealth
15 different members of the Crimson have combined to
score 60 goals this season. Alex White leads the way with 12
tallies on the year, while Devin Dwyer has added 10.
Home Field Advantage
Harvard is 14-5 at home under Chris Wojcik '96, The
Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Lacrosse, including a
3-1 mark in 2013. The Crimson boasts a 6-3 mark in Harvard Stadium
and an 8-2 record at Soldiers Field Lacrosse Stadium.

CLASS Act
Jason Gonos
has been named as one of 20 candidates for the 2013 Senior CLASS
Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be
classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable
achievements in four areas of excellence – community,
classroom, character and competition.
Gonos has anchored Harvard's defensive unit for the last three
years, but even more impressive than his play on the field has been
his work within the community. In November, he organized the
Crimson's involvement in Lacrosse Mustache Madness which raised
$6,979 for the HEADstrong Foundation, a non-profit organization
dedicated to the fight against blood cancer. Gonos has also spent
time working with Happy Helpers for the Homeless in his home state
of Maryland, helping to feed and clothe the homeless in Glen
Burnie, Md.

In the Spotlight
The Crimson will play twice in front of a national
television audience in 2013 beginning with its March 30 meeting
with Duke. The game, which will be aired live on NBC Sports
Network, will be played under the lights of Harvard Stadium at 7
p.m. The Crimson will also be featured on ESPNU when it takes the
field at Princeton Friday, April 19 at 6 p.m.

of the Crimson's nine home games will be available either through
live or on-demand streaming. Eight of the nine will streamed live
through GoCrimson.com while the Crimson's nationally televised
matchup with No. 13/14 Duke will be available for on-demand viewing
