Last Time Out
The Harvard women's volleyball team rode the hot-hitting of Caroline Holte and Grace Weghorst to a fifth-straight win Friday night as it made quick work of Dartmouth, 3-0, at the Malkin Athletic Center. The victory came by set scores of 25-13, 25-20 and 25-18.

Holte and Weghorst each scored a match-high 11 kills, with Holte making just one error on 15 attempts to finish her night hitting at a .667 clip. Weghorst, meanwhile, turned in a .318 hitting percentage. Caroline Walters and Corinne Bain contributed seven kills apiece, as Walters notched a .500 percentage.

Bain and Hannah Schmidt dished out 18 assists and 13 assists, respectively, to lead the Crimson to a combined .330 percentage. On the defensive side of the net, Harvard limited Dartmouth to just .115 hitting thanks in part to five total blocks from Holte.

Where We Stand
Harvard enters the weekend with a 6-2 mark against the Ivy League and trails Yale (7-1) by just one game for the conference lead. Princeton is close behind the Crimson in third place with a 4-3 record while Dartmouth is in fourth at 4-4. Columbia, Brown and Penn have identical 3-5 records, and Cornell rounds out the standings with a 1-7 mark.

Raising The Bar
With 13 wins entering the weekend, Harvard has a chance to become the first Crimson squad since 2004 (15-10) to reach 15 wins for the season. Harvard has posted at least 15 wins nine times in program history, including five times under head coach Jennifer Weiss, and turned in a program-best 25-9 mark in 1997.

Fast Start
At 13-4, Harvard has set a new program record for most wins through 17 matches, besting the 1981, 1987 and 1997 squads which began their respective seasons 11-6. A win on Friday versus Dartmouth would likewise mark the first time that a Crimson team has posted 13 wins through its first 17 matches.

Just Keep Winning
Harvard has won each of its last five matches, marking the second time this season the Crimson has won five in a row. Harvard has not won six straight since 2008, and in 1997 the Crimson reeled off a program-best 13 consecutive victories en route to a 25-9 overall record and a perfect 7-0 Ivy League mark.

All-Around Performer
Sophomore Corinne Bain possesses a unique skillset which allows to her impact the game in every facet. The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native currently ranks among the Ivy League's leaders in kills (12th, 2.61), assists (5th, 6.64), digs (15th, 2.76), blocks (18th, 0.59), hitting percentage (9th, .269) and service aces (1st, 0.47).

Tripling Up
Sophomore Corinne Bain has recorded six triple-doubles this season and boasts 12 for her career. Bain, the 2013 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and the only member of the Crimson to ever record a triple-double, posted six a year ago, the second highest total by a freshman in the nation.

Feeling Honored
Sophomore Corinne Bain was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on Oct. 21, marking the second time this season and third time in her career that the sophomore has garnered the award. Her most recent accolade came after helping Harvard defeat both Penn and Princeton, as she averaged 2.50 kps, 7.25 aps and 4.25 dps.

Along with her two player of the week honors, Bain has also been named to the Ivy League Honor Roll six times, receiving recognition from the conference each week of the season.

Nationally Known
Senior Caroline Walters was recognized as both the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week and the Ivy League Player of the Week on Sept. 23. The San Mateo, Calif., native led the Crimson to a pair of wins the previous weekend, averaging 3.11 kps and 1.11 bps while hitting .422 against Northeastern and Boston College.

Walters' selection as the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week marked the first time a member of the Ivy League had garnered the award on the women's side. Senior DJ White of the Harvard men's volleyball team earned the honor in 2013, becoming the first Ivy Leaguer overall to be named national player of the week. Walters' Ivy League Player of the Week honor, meanwhile, was the first of her career.

Rookie on the Rise
Freshman Paige Kebe was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Oct. 14 after averaging 3.75 kps, 1.50 dps and hitting .281 in wins at Cornell and Columbia. Kebe's weekend included a career-best 22-kill performance at Columbia, with six of her kills coming in the fifth and deciding set.

Kebe's 22 kills against the Lions rank as the 10th-highest total posted by an Ivy Leaguer this season and represent the third most by a member of the Crimson since 2008.

Can You Dig It?
Junior Sindhu Vegesena earned the starting role for the Crimson at libero and did not disappoint in the team's first weekend of action, averaging 5.91 dps in three matches at the Harvard Invitational and being named to the all-tournament team. Vegesena registered 22 digs in Harvard's first match of the year, a thrilling 3-2 victory over Santa Clara, before setting a new career-high with 34 digs in a 3-0 win over Central Connecticut State.

Vegesena's 34 digs against CCSU were the most by a member of the Crimson in a three-set match since 2008, the last year for which match-by-match statistics are available, and rank as the most in a three-set match in the NCAA this season.

Cardiac Crimson
The Crimson has displayed a flare for the dramatic this season en route to its 13-4 record. Harvard has trailed after the midway point in 19 of the 39 sets it has won, including a 21-14 deficit against Northeastern which resulted in a 25-23 victory.

Additionally, the Crimson has gone a full five sets on five occasions, and has come out victorious in each.
