• 2017 Fall Schedule
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Athletics has announced the women's rugby team's fall schedule for the 15s season, as the Crimson gets set to compete in its fifth season of varsity competition. The Crimson went 5-1 during the 2016 regular season, and finished second in Ivy play. All home games this season will be shown on the Ivy League Network.
Harvard will be under new leadership this season, as Harvard announced the hiring of new head coach Mel Denham last week. Denham recently served for three years as the head coach at Central Washington.
The Crimson opens the 2017-18 campaign with two non-conference road contests. The Crimson will travel to West Chester to take on the Rams at 1 p.m. on Sept. 9 and the following week Harvard will be at Army Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. Harvard will host its first home matchup when Harvard welcomes Mt. St. Mary's on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.
Harvard will then travel to Brown to open conference play on Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. The first conference home game of the season will be the following weekend on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m., when Harvard hosts Dartmouth. To finish out the regular season and Ivy play, Harvard will host Princeton at Mignone Field on Oct. 14 at 1 p.m.
The Crimson will have a bye week before the Ivy Championship on Oct. 28, hosted by Princeton. The Varsity Championship quarterfinals begin on Nov. 11, before the Varsity Championship on Nov. 18.
