CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Playing away from home for the first time this season, Harvard women's soccer fell to crosstown rival Northeastern, 2-0, on Tuesday evening at Parsons Field.

Junior Danielle Etzel made a game-high four saves between the posts in the first half, while sophomore Kat Hess tallied a trio of stops in the second. The Crimson (1-1-0) tallied seven shots in the game, led by two apiece from junior Leah Mohammadi and freshman Murphy Agnew.

Northeastern struck first in the 38th minute after a shot from Kerri Zerfoss made its way across the line. Freshmen Linda Liedel and Lauren Raimondo had good chances to knot the score at the beginning of the second half, but were turned away by Northeastern netminder Nathalie Nidetch. The Huskies put an insurance goal through in the 76th minute off the foot of Hannah Rosenblatt.

Harvard Highlights:

• Five different Harvard players fired a shot: Mohammadi, Agnew, Raimondo, junior Zayne Matulis and senior Dani Stollar.
• Etzel and Hess each came within a save of their career highs of five and four, respectively, while senior Marie Becker cleared a number of Northeastern chances before they could build.
• Suffering the first loss in series history, Harvard moves to 3-1-2 in the series history with Northeastern. 

Game Notes:

• Harvard was held off the scoresheet for just the fourth time since the start of last season, and the first time this season. Harvard went 1-0-1 a year ago in the game after being held scoreless.
• The class of 2018 moves to 30-17-7 since the players' arrival in Cambridge.

What's Next:
Harvard heads to New Britain, Connecticut to take part in the Central Connecticut State Tournament. The Crimson opens with the host Blue Devils Sept. 1 at 7 p.m., and takes on St. John's Sept. 3 at 3:30 p.m. The games will be broadcast on NEC Front Row.
