CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Lara Schenk has been one of 20 players to be invited to participate in the German under-20 camp in Japan. The camp will run from March 2 – 10 in Nakacho, Japan.
Hailing from Seeize, Germany, Schenk is no stranger to the German national team system. She spent four days with the under-20 team in early November, 2019 and with the under-15 through under-19 teams, which included winning a title at the 2017 U17 European championships. At the most recent camp, Schenk will participate with the team preparing for the U20 World Cup in Costa Rica in August.
A versatile midfielder, Schenk helped Harvard to a 12-3-1 record in 2019, including a 5-1-1 mark in Ivy League Play. The sophomore scored one goal, and played every minute in helping Harvard to eight shutouts on the season.
