CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 14 Harvard men's water polo took down MIT 16-10 on Sunday afternoon, improving to 13-2 on the season.
 
Junior Alex Tsotadze scored four goals while sophomores Kaleb Archer and Mot Stothart contributed three as Harvard got the best of MIT (3-8 , 1-4 NWPC).
 
Juniors Gabe Putnam and Alex Tsotadze got the Crimson out to an early lead, scoring both of Harvard's first period goals. Harvard exploded for seven goals in the second quarter behind two more from Tsotadze, and another from Putnam. Sophomores Owen Hale and Max Keck also got on the scoresheet in the second frame as Harvard took a 9-4 lead into halftime.
 
First-year Tyler Zarcu netted the first goal of the second half with 4:44 remaining in the third, before sophomore Mot Stothart scored back-to-back goals extending the Crimson lead to 12-6. Sophomore Kaleb Archer scored the second of his three goals and Harvard went into the fourth period with a five-goal advantage. Tsotadze, Archer, and Stothart all added goals in the final frame and Harvard took down its cross-town foe 16-10.

What's Next? 
Harvard will play host to the Harvard Invitational next weekend. The Crimson kicks off its tournament on Saturday, Oct. 16, taking on Gannon University at 10:15 a.m. before a matchup with Wagner College at 3:30 p.m. Harvard will then take on Salem University on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 11:45 a.m. before its final matchup with Mount St. Mary's at 4:45 p.m. All games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
