No. 8/16 Women’s Soccer Falls to No. 22 Brown, 1-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 8/16 Harvard University women's soccer fell to No. 22 Brown University, 1-0, on a goal in the 75th minute on Saturday afternoon at Jordan Field.
 
In a game featuring the top two teams in the Ivy League standings and top two Ivy teams in the RPI, the Crimson (9-1-1, 3-1-0 Ivy, No. 14 RPI) and Bears (9-3-0, 4-0-0 Ivy, No. 26) RPI remained tied for over three quarters of the game before the visitors broke through at the 74:14 mark.
 
Harvard – which entered the weekend as one of four remaining undefeated teams in the country – has still taken points from 10 of its 11 matches on the season. The Crimson moves to second place in the Ivy League standings on nine points.
 
On the game's scoring play, Brown's Ava Seelenfreund chipped forward a ball to Brittany Raphino who sent a shot into the left side of the net from inside the box.
