Hannah Bebar tallied two assists as No. 15/RV Harvard University women's soccer shut out Central Connecticut State University, 3-0 on Tuesday evening at Jordan Field in its Pride Game, hosted in conjunction with the Harvard College Athlete Ally Chapter, and non-conference finale.
The Crimson (10-1-1) netted all three of its goals inside the contest's first 20 minutes to defeat the visiting Blue Devils (9-5-0). Harvard has now registered double-figure wins in a season for the 21
st time in program history and for the sixth time since 2011.
In the second game of a four-game homestand, Caloia opened the scoring in the fourth minute, directing the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the six-yard box off assists from senior
Sophie Hirst and Bebar. Fasnacht doubled the lead in the 15
th minute, carrying the ball along the right side and slotting a shot past the keeper. Caloia capped the scoring in the 20
th minute, directing a one-timed shot into the net off a feed from Fasnacht.
As a part of the team's Pride Game, student-athletes wore rainbow hair ribbons and shoelaces to show their acceptance of complex gender and sexual identities while free Harvard College Athlete Ally stickers were provided to fans.
"Both for me personally and the team this was really important to have our first-ever Pride Game and make a statement for the LGBTQ community both on campus and beyond," senior
Lara Schenk said. "I'm really hoping that a lot of young girls and any kind of potential queers of the future are watching tonight's game and thinking 'I can be like them and be a Harvard women's soccer player and also be gay, and that's OK.'"

- Junior Angela Caloia scored her team and Ivy League leading ninth and 10th goals of the season. She also paces the team and conference with 22 points on the year. Caloia netted her third brace this season and second in the last three games. She has posted points in 8 of 12 matches on the year.
- Caloia now has 16 career goals and six career game-winning goals. She has posted four game winners this season, including two in her last three outings.
- Sophomore Taylor Fasnacht registered a season-high three points on her goal and assist. She now has three goals and nine points on the season.
- First-year Hannah Bebar notched multiple assists in a game for the third time this season and for the second time in her last three outings. She has totaled five assists over her last three games. For the season, she leads the team and Ivy League with nine assists. She ranks second on the team with 15 points on the year and has posted points in seven of her last nine contests.
- Senior Sophie Hirst recorded her third assist of the season and now has 11 career assists.
- Harvard's goalkeeping trio of junior Hannah Gardner, sophomore Anna Karpenko, and senior Samantha Schmitz combined for the team's sixth shutout of the season. The Crimson has compiled clean sheets in four of its last five games and has allowed just one goal over that span.
- Gardner improved to 8-0-0 on the season and has a 0.33 GAA on the year.
- For the match, Harvard led in shots (22-9), shots on goal (11-1), and corner kicks (7-2).
- Seniors Taylor Nielsen and Lara Schenk stood as Harvard's two student-athletes to play the full 90 minutes.
