CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 15/RV Harvard University women's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 23 Princeton University on a goal in the 78
th minute on Saturday afternoon at Jordan Field.
In a matchup featuring two top-30 RPI teams, the Crimson (10-2-1, 3-2-0 Ivy, No. 18 RPI) held an advantage in the match's attacking chances – including tallying 14 more shots than the visitors – but the Tigers (12-2-1, 4-1-0 Ivy, No. 28 RPI) netted the game's only goal at the 77:26 mark.
On the game's scoring play, Tatum Gee chipped a shot into the net for her sixth goal of the season after collecting possession following a turnover. Princeton goalkeeper Grace Barbara made seven saves in the shutout.
Prior to the game, Harvard recognized several faculty and staff members in a pre-game ceremony as a part of the team's One Crimson Faculty/Staff Appreciation Game. Faculty and staff members that were recognized either in person or remotely included Assistant Professor of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology Dr. Kara McKinley; Allston Burr Resident Dean, Lowell House, and Assistant Dean of Harvard College Dr. Caitlin M. Casey; Assistant Head Tutor and Lecturer on Organismic and Evolutionary Biology Dr. Andrew Berry; Lecturer on Sociology Dr. Shai Dromi; and Interim Director of Undergraduate Education – Academics and Lecturer on Applied Mathematics Dr. Margo Levine.

- Harvard held advantages in shots (23-9), shots on goal (7-4), and corner kicks (5-1) for the match. In the first half, the Crimson led in shots (13-4), shots on goal (6-2), and corners (4-1).
- Junior goalkeeper Hannah Gardner made two saves in the first half while sophomore goalie Anna Karpenko stopped one shot in the second half. For the season, Gardner has posted a 0.30 GAA.
- In Ivy League play, the Crimson has allowed just two goals over five games for a 0.40 GAA.
- Junior Angela Caloia tallied a game-high six shots and two shots on goal. Sophomore Taylor Fasnacht followed with four shots.
- Seniors Lara Schenk and Sophie Hirst, junior Hollyn Torres, and first-year Jade Rose all played the full 90 minutes.
