Box Score PRINCETON, N.J. - Despite clawing its way back from a 2-1 deficit to force a fifth set, the Harvard women's volleyball team (5-7, 2-1 Ivy League) fell to Princeton (9-2, 3-0 Ivy League) on the road tonight, Oct. 2nd. The Crimson's four-game win streak comes to an end after being topped by the Tigers by set scores of 25-20, 24-26, 25-16, 19-25 and 15-13.
Three Crimson attackers registered double-digit kills tonight, with sophomores
Katie Vorhies and
Nicole Prescott leading the way with 19 and 12 respectively. Sophomore
Olivia Cooper put up 12 of her own to assist the Crimson's offense. Aiding their attackers greatly, sophomore
Bella Almanza and first-year
Rocky Aguirre both put up double-digit assists, with Almanza finishing with 30 and Aguirre totaling 20 on the night.
Putting up a stellar defensive performance as well, three Crimson players walked away with double-digit digs. For the second night in a row, first-year
Lindsey Zhang notched a team best of 20, with Presscott and Aguirre not far behind with 16 each. At the net, sophomore
Ariana White put up four blocks, with Almanza and sophomore
Ava Rauser both putting up three.
Harvard Highlights
- The Crimson led the match in kills, assists and digs, putting up 63, 61, and 71 respectively.
