CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's soccer team (5-5-3, 0-2-2 Ivy) dropped a 4-1 decision to Princeton (8-5-0, 4-0-0 Ivy) on Saturday afternoon at Jordan Field.
Cornelius Bencsik scored the lone goal for the Crimson while
Oskar Nilsson made seven saves in net.
Through a back-and-forth first half, neither team was able to crack the scoreboard until 37:56 when
Cornelius Bencsik put the Crimson up one from 15 yards out. The Tigers were quick to respond in the 40th minute, tying the score 1-1 just before the half.
The Tigers' Kevin O'Toole stole the spotlight through the second half, scoring three straight goals in the 53rd, 57th and a penalty shot in the 61st to secure the 4-1 victory.
