Women’s Rugby Stays Hot; Tops Brown 60-8

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – First-year PK Vincze scored four tries as the Harvard women's rugby team took down Brown by a score of 60-8 to improve to 5-0 on the season.

Senior Sabrina Kim got the Crimson out to a quick start, scoring her fifth try of the season, less than four minutes into the game. Kim was not done yet, scoring eight minutes later to give Harvard a two-score lead in which they would never look back. Senior Emma Kearney and first-year PK Vincze tallied back-to-back tries at the halfway point in the first half, extending Harvard's lead to 22-0. Vincze and first-year Chloe Headland would add tries before the half and Harvard went into the break with a 34-5 lead.

After her two-try first half, Vincze continued her fine form, scoring the first two tries of the second half. Harvard held a 48-8 lead for over 20 minutes in the second half, before sophomore Maeve Humphrey extended the Crimson lead to 53-8 with a try with 7:30 remaining. Harvard would add one more try in the closing minutes from first-year Kiani Akina to secure the 60-8 victory over the Bears.

"We're feeling really good, we're building each game, and today was definitely the best game we've played yet" said sophomore Brogan Mior following the win. "We're not going to stop here, each week we're building, each game we're building, and it's really exciting."
