NEW YORK, N.Y. – Embarking on its last road trip of the regular season, the Harvard women's volleyball team (10-10, 7-4 Ivy League), defeated Columbia (5-16, 2-9 Ivy League) tonight, Nov. 5. After dropping the first set, the Crimson rallied back to take the next three straight and top the Lions by set scores of 18-25, 25-16, 26-24 and 25-21.

Katie Vorhies and first-year
Corinne Furey followed closely behind with 10 each. As a team, the Crimson registered a .232 hitting percentage compared to the Lions' .159. The duo of
Bella Almanza and
Rocky Aguirre continue to provide support to Harvard's offense in assists. Almanza posted a team-best 16, while Aguirre contributed 14 helpers.
In the backcourt, first-year
Lindsey Zhang notched a team-high 15 digs to lead the Crimson's defense. First-year
Teia Piette also recorded double-digit digs with 10, while Almanza nearly had a double-double with adding nine digs to her tally. Sophomores
Olivia Cooper and
Ariana White led the Crimson at the net with five blocks apiece, contributing to Harvard's 11 total team blocks.
