CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—The Harvard football team has announced its 2021 season schedule, which features five games at Harvard Stadium and two games on the ESPN linear family of networks, including the 137th playing of The Game at Yale (Nov. 20).
Tim Murphy, The Thomas Stephenson Family Head Coach for Harvard Football, will be entering his 28th year at the helm. Murphy, who has led Harvard to nine Ivy League titles in his tenure, owns a 178-81 overall record with the Crimson and is one win shy of tying Yale's Carmen Cozza (179) for most overall victories in conference history. Murphy (124) is also 11 victories away from tying Cozza (135) for most wins in Ivy League games.
Â
The Crimson opens up its 147th season on the road when it visits Georgetown (Sept. 18). Harvard then takes on its first Ivy League opponent at historic Harvard Stadium when it welcomes Brown to Cambridge for a game under the lights (Friday, Sept. 24) on ESPNU.
Â
After taking on the Bears, the Crimson makes the short trip to Holy Cross (Oct. 2) before back-to-back home contests against Cornell (Oct. 9) and Lafayette (Oct. 16). Harvard will close out the month of October at Princeton (Oct. 23) and at home against Dartmouth (Oct. 30).
Â
In the last stretch of the schedule, the Crimson travels to New York to take on Columbia (Nov. 6) before concluding the home portion of its slate against Penn (Nov. 13). Harvard will then face Yale at the Yale Bowl (Nov. 20) in Harvard's second contest on ESPN's linear networks.Â
Â
All game dates are subject to change. Kick-off times and all television information will be announced at a later date. Each of Harvard's home non-conference games, and all Ivy League games not being televised, will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
