Angela Caloia all scored goals as Harvard University women's soccer defeated Boston University, 3-0, on Thursday night at Nickerson Field in its first away match of the season.
Coming off a 1-0 win over Fairfield in its season opener, the Crimson (2-0-0) held a 1-0 lead at halftime and scored twice in a four-minute span between the 50
th and 54
th minutes early in the second half to gain separation from the host Terriers (1-3-1).
Hasbo opened the game's scoring at the 32:24 mark, slotting a shot into the left side of the goal from 12 yards away. Rose doubled the margin to 2-0 less than five minutes into the second half at 49:28, collecting the ball just outside the six-yard box and driving a shot into the back of the net. Caloia capped the scoring at 53:10, sending a one-timed shot into the left of the goal.

- First-year Josefine Hasbo scored her first collegiate goal and first career game-winning goal. She now has three points through her first two games as she notched an assist in the Crimson's season opener against Fairfield.
- First-year Jade Rose notched her first collegiate goal and first collegiate points.
- Junior Angela Caloia netted her second goal of the season after scoring the game-winning goal in Harvard's 1-0 win over Fairfield in the opener. She has tallied eight career goals. She added an assist on Rose's goal for three points on the evening, tying her career high. Caloia leads the team with five points on the season.
- Sophomore Taylor Fasnacht posted her first career assist and first career point on Hasbo's goal.
- First-year Ainsley Ahmadian registered her first collegiate assist and point on Caloia's goal.
- Junior goalkeeper Hannah Gardner, sophomore goalkeeper Anna Karpenko, and senior goalkeeper Samantha Schmitz combined for the clean sheet. The unit has tallied 180 minutes of shutout play to start the year.
- Senior Lara Schenk stood as the only student-athlete to play the full 90 minutes.
- For the match, Harvard held advantages in shots (19-6), shots on goal (8-1), and corner kicks (8-2). In the first half, the Crimson led in shots (12-1), shots on goal (3-0), and corners (4-1).
Game Notes
- Harvard improved to 15-8-6 all-time vs. Boston University.
- The Crimson topped the Terriers by a margin of three goals or greater for the first time since a 5-1 victory on Oct. 17, 2001.
- Harvard starts the season 2-0-0 for the first time since 2014.
- The Crimson has not allowed a goal over its first two games and has outscored its opponents 4-0.
