CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University women's soccer first-year forward/midfielder
Nicola Golen has earned a call up into Canada Soccer's Women's National Team Program's January 2022 Women's U20 Identification Camp in Markham, Ontario.
The camp continues Canada's early preparations for next year's 2022 CONCACAF Women's U20 Championship from February 25, 2022 to March 12, 2022 in the Dominican Republic.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Golen played in 15 games with three starts this past season, ranking third on the team in assists (four). She posted two assists vs. Kansas (Sept. 19) and tallied one assist in each of two games – at Monmouth (Sept. 12) and vs. Penn (Sept. 25). Golen has previously competed for Canada on the U17 level.

Anna Karpenko as the Crimson's representatives at the camp. Both Rose and Karpenko also took part in Canada's full women's national team camp in Mexico during the late November FIFA international window.
In 2021, Harvard earned an at-large berth in the NCAA Championship, making its 17
th all-time NCAA appearance. Harvard posted a 12-3-1 overall record in 2021, earning rankings as high as No. 4 in the NCAA RPI, No. 8 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll, and No. 16 in the United Soccer Coaches rankings.
