PRINCETON, N.J. - Harvard women's soccer first-year, Audrey Francois, earned her second Ivy League Rookie of the Week award for her role in the Crimson's 5-1 win over Cornell this past weekend. Francois's three points, off a goal and an assist, were a team-high and tied a career high for the first-year who now has accumulated eight points thus far in her first collegiate season. Her teammate, Hollyn Torres, landed on the league's weekly honor roll after scoring the game-winning goal in the matchup against Cornell. 

The Laval, Quebec native has been a key reserve for the Branca Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Soccer, Chris Hamblin, and his group. Francois has appeared in every game so far in 2022, making a significant impact in the attacking third. The forward has netted two goals this season to go along with four assists, one of which she recorded this past weekend. 

Against the Big Red, Francois entered the contest midway through the first half, making almost an immediate difference as she set up Sophie Hirst for a goal just ten minute later at 35'. Francois put her own tally on the board early in the second half to make the score 4-0 in favor of Harvard. Francois continued to put pressure on the Big Red backline an eventually helped Harvard secure another goal when she made a run that led to a Cornell own goal.

Francois and the Crimson have another big weekend coming up, as they prepare to face off against the Ivy League's current top-seed, the Brown Bears on the road in Provience, R.I. The Saturday matchup is set to take place at 1 pm and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
