CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Women's volleyball junior Ava Rauser and men's water polo junior Owen Hale have earned Harvard Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week presented by The Harvard COOP for the week of Oct. 3-9, Harvard announced on Thursday.
 
Ava Rauser, Women's Volleyball, Economics
Ava Rauser was a key player in Friday's match against Yale, scoring a career high 11 kills against the bulldogs and leading the team in kills. She also scored four block assists, accumulating 13 points throughout the match and leading the team in that aspect as well. She added four more kills and four points to her weekend total after Saturday's match against Brown.
 
Owen Hale, Men's Water Polo, Economics
Junior Owen Hale made a significant impact on both ends of the pool throughout the three games last weekend. Hale recorded a career-high seven steals against MIT on Sunday before also registering four against Conn. College and another three against Brown Saturday morning for a total of 14 steals in three games. On the offensive side, Hale scored three goals and tallied one assist against Brown, one goal against Conn. College, and four goals against MIT ending with a total of eight goals, one assist and 14 steals over a successful weekend.
