  • The Crimson struck first as senior quarterback Charlie Dean connected with senior tight end Haven Montefalco on an eight-yard touchdown with 1:38 to go in the first quarter, giving the Crimson a 7-0 lead. A 49-yard connection from Dean to first-year receiver Cooper Barkate helped set up the score that capped an eight-play, 72-yard drive in 3:33.
  • Columbia's Alex Fenkins converted a 44-yard field goal with 14:12 to go in the second quarter, bringing the Lions within 7-3.
  • The Lions took a 10-7 lead with 7:24 left in the second quarter as quarterback Caden Bell found Bryson Canty on a six-yard touchdown pass.
  • Senior running back Aidan Borguet's 10th rushing touchdown of the season pushed the Crimson ahead, 14-10, with 3:48 to go in the second quarter as he plunged in from one yard out. A 22-yard catch from senior receiver Joe Young before a 10-yard run from Borguet put Harvard in position to score on the nine-play, 72-yard drive in 3:31.
  • After sophomore defensive back Riley Jenne forced a fumble that junior defensive back Victory Tademy recovered late in the second quarter, the Crimson moved into the red zone, allowing senior kicker Jonah Lipel to connect on a 30-yard field goal and extend the Crimson's lead to 17-10 with 1:26 to play in the half.
  • Harvard made two interceptions less than two minutes apart early in the third quarter to disrupt Columbia drives. • "The thing that our team heard from me every day this week is that this team is a dangerous team. The reality is we had our opportunities. Their defense played great in the second half, and I thought our defense played great in the second half. The game of inches part was there today." – Tim Murphy, The Thomas Stephenson Family Head Coach for Harvard Football
  • "Overall, I thought our defense played well. In the modern game of football you have to score 28, you have to score 30 – that's just the reality. We have done that pretty well this year, we just did not have a great second half. They played really outstanding defense in the second half, and we missed a couple of field goals." – Tim Murphy, The Thomas Stephenson Family Head Coach for Harvard Football
  • "There were a lot of plays to be made. Like Coach Murphy said there were many opportunities to change the game – to win the game for us – and we failed at all of them. We just have to think collectively about how we can get better to make those plays and impact the game." – Senior captain Truman Jones
