CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's volleyball team (5-15, 4-8 Ivy) travel to Brown (12-9, 8-4) on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. followed Yale (19-2, 11-1 Ivy) on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. to close out the 2022 season. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
What to Know
- In earlier matchups this season, the Crimson were swept by Brown and lost a match 1-3 to the Yale Bulldogs at home. Harvard hopes to close out their season with road wins to tie both series at 1-1 for the 2022 season.
- The Crimson celebrated their three seniors in a match against Cornell last Saturday, Nov. 5. Senior Bella Almanza appeared in the top-three on the Harvard team in kills, assists, aces and digs. She scored three aces in both of last weekend's matches against Columbia and Cornell.
- First-years Brynne Faltinsky and Hannah Nguyen had an outstanding weekend. Faltinsky scored a team-leading 11 kills against Cornell and adding six more against Columbia. Nguyen lead the team in digs in both matches, also scoring a kill off her shoulder against Cornell.
- Almanza and first-year Hannah Nguyen were named to the Ivy League Honor Roll the week of Nov. 7 for their performances in last weekend's two matchups.
- Both Brown and Yale have secured their positions in the Ivy League Volleyball tournament. Harvard is unfortunately out of contention after last weekend's losses.
