Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men’s Basketball Falls at Princeton, 74-67

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Harvard men's basketball team fell on the road to Princeton, 74-67, Friday night at Jadwin Gymnasium. The loss snapped the Crimson's two-game winning streak and dropped it to 13-11 (5-7 Ivy League) on the season.

The Tigers (20-5; 10-2 Ivy) jumped out to a 6-0 lead in less than two minutes and expanded their advantage to 19-11 with just under 14 minutes left. Six straight Crimson points, however, got it back in the game and sparked a 15-2 run, the last five of which were credited to Kale Catchings. The plus-13 stretch put Harvard ahead, 26-21. The Crimson later enjoyed a 34-28 advantage before settling for a 38-36 halftime lead.

Catchings carried Harvard in the opening moments of the second half, scoring the team's first two buckets propelling it to another six-point cushion. Princeton, however, answered by scoring 13 of the game's next 15 points to reclaim the lead at 49-44.

The teams traded baskets with the Crimson taking a 60-59 lead behind a Mason Forbes second-chance field goal and a Luka Sakota triple. The Tigers answered by scoring the next five points and did not relinquish the lead for the balance of the game en route to the seven-point victory.
