CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 22 Harvard women's water polo played its first home games since March 2020, falling to No. 14 Wagner, 11-6, and taking down No. 24 Cal Baptist, 13-5. The Crimson moves to 3-1 on the season and will close out the Bruno Classic with a pair of games tomorrow at Blodgett Pool.

Game 1: Wagner 11, Harvard 6
Both offenses struggled to find paydirt early, with Harvard's first goal coming over five minutes into the game, to tie the score at one. The Seahawks would add two goals late in the first and led 3-1 through eight minutes.
Erin Kim scored her second of the game to start the second period, and
Brooke Hourigan would add one with 39 seconds before the break, as Wagner held a 4-3 halftime lead.

The Crimson would fail to score in the third frame, as Wagner tacked on four goals to make it 8-3 through three.
Zoe Banks stood strong in net, making eight saves in the second half through a flurry of Wagner chances. Harvard was able to cut it to as close to three in the final frame after
Evan Tingler made it 9-6 with 3:57 remaining. However, Wagner was able to see out its lead and earn the victory over Harvard, 11-6.

Harvard Highlights Game 1
- First-year Erin Kim netted a hat-trick for the second consecutive game to lead the Harvard attack.
- Junior goalie Zoe Banks made 13 saves in net while recording a steal. Banks has stopped 19 of the 34 shots that she has faced this season.
- Junior Grace Thawley recorded two steals, three ejections drawn and an assist.
Game 2: Harvard 13, Cal Baptist 5
Harvard would refuse to carry-over its offensive struggles from game one, scoring on its first possession of the game through
Borden Wahl.
Sasha Constandse and
Brooke Hourigan added goals as Harvard jumped out to a 3-1 lead after one.
Anne-Charlotte Gillard drew the start in goal, making five saves in the first half while limiting the Lancers to only two goals. It was the duo of Constandse and Hourigan once again netting a goal each, and Harvard went into the half with a 5-2 lead.

Cal Baptist enjoyed their best spell of the game to begin the second half, making it a 5-4 contest midway through the third period.
Kaity Greenwald would respond, answering with back-to-back goals from close-range, including a highlight-reel turn and backhanded shot to make it 7-4.
Annabel Facey scored her first goal of the season with 34 seconds on the clock in the third, propelling Harvard to an 8-4 lead after three. Harvard would go on to make it a 7-0 run to seal the game away, including goals from
Grace Thawley and
Dany Zapata to begin the final frame. The Lancers would manage only one goal in the period, and
Josie Mobley netted number 13 for the Crimson, making it a 13-5 final.

Harvard will return tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 6, to take on Pomona-Pitzer at 9:00 a.m. and RV La Salle at 3:00 p.m. to close out the Bruno Classic. The two games will be shown live on ESPN+.
