CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a back and forth Game 2, Harvard men's ice hockey (18-10-3) fell, 4-3, in double overtime to Rensselaer (18-22-3) in an ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal at Bright-Landry Hockey Center.

Nick Abruzzese all scored for Harvard, which outshot the Engineers 50-37 on the night.
The Crimson led 2-1 heading into the third period, but RPI scored twice in a span of less than four minutes to take their first lead of the night.
Jakub Lacka tied it at 7:44, and Zach Dubinsky put in a rebound at 11:18 to give the Engineers a 3-2 lead.
But Harvard responded, as first-year forward
Matthew Coronato beat his man on the side wall to create a 2-on-1 down low. He found Abruzzese on the other side of the slot, and the captain hit the open net at 17:46 to tie the game at 3-3.
Harvard killed off seven minutes of penalty time in the first overtime frame and appeared to have the momentum heading into the second extra frame.
But a 2-on-1 chance for the Engineers ended it at 1:21 of the second extra frame, as John Beaton scored to send the series to a Game 3.
Harvard opened the first period with two goals in the first 10:00 to take early control of the game. Farinacci buried a scoring chance from the slot off a great set up by first-year forward
Alex Gaffney at 4:30.
Then Thrun scored on a seeing-eye shot from the left point past RPI goaltender Jack Watson (47 saves to make it 2-0 at 9:41.
But RPI's Justin Addamo scored at 12:59 to cut the Harvard lead to 2-1, and the score remained that way heading into the third period.
