CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Racing against an assembly of New England region schools, Harvard finished in second place at both the Friis and Duplin team races this weekend (March 26-27).
At the Duplin Trophy hosted by Tufts, the Crimson women posted a 10-3 record on Mystic Lake to claim runner-up behind Brown. Skippers

Corinne Lee to go 6-1 in the initial round robin and secure a spot in the final four. There, Harvard came away 4-2, sweeping Roger Williams while going 1-1 against both Brown and Dartmouth as the Bears maintained their slim advantage.
In coed action this weekend, Harvard journeyed to Bristol, R.I. to take part in the Friis Trophy, hosted by Roger Williams. The Crimson totaled a 13-6 mark across two days to place second among nine competing teams at the regatta.

Harvard began the event by going 4-4 in the first round robin before elevating their level to finish 7-1 in round two and join Yale, Dartmouth and Brown in an all-ivy final four. Both Harvard and Yale tallied 2-1 marks in the top-four round, with Yale finishing in the top spot based on overall record.
Harvard also got its first taste of fleet racing this spring, competing at the Connecticut Valley Dinghy Championship hosted by Coast Guard. The Crimson took seventh in a 22-team field totaling 243 points after 14 races in both the A and B divisions.
Eric Hansen and
Ariel Wang represented Harvard in the A division and placed ninth with 123 points, including four seconds.
Sophia Montgomery and
Emily Launderville were seventh in the B division with 120 points and four top-threes. Coast Guard won the event with a team total of 106.
