PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Riley Campbell scored four goals to lead Harvard women's lacrosse (2-1, 1-0 Ivy League) to a 9-8 win over Penn (1-3, 0-1 Ivy League) on Saturday afternoon (March 5) at Franklin Field. The win was Harvard's first over Penn since April 9, 2000.
Junior captain
Grace Hulslander got things going for the Crimson with a well-placed free position shot at 13:43 of the opening quarter. After Penn evened the score, a goal from
Callie Hem on a great cut into the circle at 10:20 and another from
Riley Campbell at 8:28 put Harvard up 3-1.
A three-goal second quarter run by the host Quakers give Penn its first lead of the game at 7:08. But Hem scored her second of the game at 6:07, spinning around for a bounce shot pass Penn goalie Kelly Van Hoesen to tie the game at 4-4 heading into the half.
Campbell completed her hat trick with two goals within two minutes of each other midway through the third quarter. Her second goal came at 7:52, and her third came on a solo run from the right side at 5:45 to make it 6-4 Harvard.
Penn rallied to tie the game by the end of the third quarter, but Harvard regained the lead on a beautiful goal by

Later in the fourth quarter, a great setup from Campbell to Hulslander put the Crimson up by two with 3:38 to play, and Campbell scored her fourth of the season on Harvard's next possession to send the team on its way to its biggest win of the year.
