CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – First-year second baseman
George Cooper tallied three hits and two runs scored, but Harvard University baseball fell to Northeastern University, 10-6, in The Baseball Beanpot on Tuesday afternoon at O'Donnell Field.
Closing out a seven-game homestand, the Crimson (13-13) held a 6-5 lead through five innings before the visiting Huskies (17-15-1) scored the game's final five runs to take the consolation game of The Beanpot.
Cooper finished the game 3-for-5, notching his second three-hit game of the season. Three other Crimson – sophomore

The Crimson opened the game's scoring in the bottom of the first as Cooper scored on a wild pitch. Harvard took a 3-0 lead in the last of the second with an RBI double to left center from first-year
Sawyer Feller highlighting the frame. After Northeastern went ahead 5-3 in the top of the fourth, Harvard responded with a two-run double from Bravo in the home half of the frame to tie the score at 5-5. An RBI double from
Spencer Williams put the hosts up, 6-5, in the bottom of the fifth before the Huskies plated three runs in the sixth and two in the eighth.

- Junior third baseman Will Jacobsen went 2-for-5 for his eighth multi-hit game of the season.
- Junior Logan Bravo posted two RBIs and a double – his team-high 11th double of the year. He has reached base safely in 15 straight games.
- Sophomore shortstop Jake Berger notched a double and a run scored, reaching base safely for the 21st straight game.
