No. 19 Women’s Water Polo Closes Regular Season with Victory at No. 22 Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I., – No. 19 Harvard women's water polo took down No. 22 Brown (23-13, 7-4 CWPA) by a score of 10-6 to close out its regular season schedule. The Crimson improves to (21-6, 9-3 CWPA) and secures the No. 2 seed in the conference ahead of the CWPA Championships.
 
The Crimson will matchup with the No. 7 seed Mount Saint Mary's (8-23, 1-11 CWPA) in the CWPA Quarterfinals at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22 from Kinney Natatorium on the campus of Bucknell University. 
 
Jaiden Miller and Erin Kim got the Crimson out to an early 2-0 lead, and Harvard was able to keep the Bears off the scoresheet until over seven minutes into the first period. Brooke Hourigan answered the goal with one second left on the clock as Harvard led by two after one period of play. It was Kim again to make it a 4-1 contest in the second period, and she would secure her hat trick in the first half while Inde Halligan tallied a score to give Harvard a 6-1 lead at the half.
 
Miller got the scoring started in the second half before Brown finally found a way past Zoe Banks again with 4:09 remaining in the third. Sasha Constandse and Borden Wahl quickly tabbed a pair of goals to extend the lead to 9-2, before eventually going into the fourth period with a 9-3 advantage. Brown found the back of the cage first before Kim capped her dominant effort with a fourth goal to maintain the six-goal lead at 10-4. The Bears added a pair late as the Crimson saw out the game to earn a 10-6 victory and its 21st win of the season.
