LEONIA, N.J. – The Harvard Men's Lightweight Rowing team returned to the water on Saturday for the first time in nearly three years at the National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational. The Crimson sent 11 boats out for races throughout the regatta at Overpeck Park.
 
The Crimson raced in twelve events on the afternoon against a myriad of opponents including Ivy League foes Columbia and Penn.
 
Harvard's 3V boat captured the lone win on the day with a 5.8 second victory over Georgetown. The Varsity 8 boat battled to a photo finish in its first race but the crew fell by only .5 seconds to Penn.
 
The Crimson wrapped up competition with a few solid efforts in the Varsity 4+ races.
 
UP NEXT
The Harvard Lightweights will return to home to host Dartmouth and MIT in the battle for the Biglin Bowl next weekend on the Charles River.
