PRINCETON, N.J. – No. 22 Harvard women's water polo dropped its first contest of the day, 12-10, to No. 7 Michigan (18-8, 6-0 CWPA) before a 10-8 victory over No. 19 Princeton (17-6, 6-1 CWPA). The Crimson moves to (17-5, 5-2 CWPA) as it notched its first victory over the Tigers since 2004.
Game 1: Michigan 12, Harvard 10
The Wolverines got the jump on the Crimson early, getting out to a 2-0 lead less than 90 seconds into the contest.
Inde Halligan and
Borden Wahl would answer with scores to tie the game up, before Michigan answered with another 2-0 run to make it a 4-2 game through one period.
Brooke Hourigan and
Evan Tingler would get on the scoresheet in the second period, while Michigan poured in three more goals to give themselves a 7-4 lead at the break.
After going down 8-4 early in the second half, the Crimson would begin to mount its comeback attempt. Harvard would score three of the next five through Tingler, Hourigan and
Sasha Constandse, before Halligan and
Grace Thawley netted back-to-back goals to make it a one-score game. Michigan held onto its one-goal advantage into the fourth period, with a third goal from Halligan eventually making it 11-10 with 3:16 remaining. However, the Crimson was unable to score the final goal to tie the game up, with the Wolverines eventually adding goal number 12 to seal the contest.

Game 2: Harvard 10, Princeton 8
This time it was the Crimson jumping out to the early 2-0 lead, with Tingler and
Jaiden Miller scoring a pair within the first two minutes. Princeton would not go down lightly, scoring four unanswered goals in the period to assert a 4-2 lead over Harvard. Miller added a goal with just 23 seconds left in the period to make it a one-goal game after an eventful first period.
Zoe Banks would stand tall in goal for the remainder of the game for the Crimson, making ten total saves while shutting out the Tigers in the second period. Harvard's defensive prowess allowed it to open up a lead before halftime: with Wahl, Halligan, Thawley and Miller netting goals to give Harvard a 7-4 lead at the half.
Brooke Hourigan would cap the greater 6-0 Harvard run in the second half, while Tingler added her second of the contest before a Princeton goal with three seconds left in the period made it a two-score game heading into the fourth. Harvard was able to see out the victory in the final minutes, with another tally from Halligan making it a 10-8 final.

The Crimson will return home for the final time this season, hosting a quartet of CWPA conference matchups on April 9-10. Harvard will take on No. 19 Princeton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday before a 3:00 p.m. tilt against RV Bucknell. The Sunday contests will feature Saint Francis at 9:00 a.m. and No. 7 Michigan at 12:00 p.m. All games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
