CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its final event before the 2022 Ivy Championships, Harvard heads to Rockville, Md. for the Hoya Invitational this Saturday and Sunday (April 9-10).
Players will put their games to the test for 54 holes on the 6,125-yard, par 72 Woodmont Country Club. Rounds one and two are scheduled to take place on Saturday before the final 18 holes are conducted on Sunday.
A 13-team field is set to compete, including five Ivy League members (Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Penn and Columbia). Boston University, Georgetown, Howard, Quinnipiac, Stetson, Seton Hall, St. John's and Towson comprise the remainder of tournament participants.
Shotgun starts will be utilized for all rounds. Day one kicks off at 8:45 a.m. with golfers playing 36 continuous holes, while day two will begin at 8:30 a.m. Harvard will be off hole Nos. 12-15 alongside Towson and Quinnipiac on Saturday.

What to know:
- In the team's first stroke-play event of the Spring, Harvard placed 16th at a highly competitive Arizona St. Invitational. The Crimson carded a team total of 62-over par playing against a field which included five teams ranked inside the top-10 of Golfstat's national rankings.
- Sophomore Meiyi Yan was the top individual finisher for the Crimson. Yan finished T62 at 13-over par for the tournament.
- Harvard enters the weekend at No. 157 in the Golfstat National Rankings. Yale is the top-ranked team in the field at No. 75.
- This week's host, Woodmont Country Club, served as the venue for the 2020 U.S. Women's Amateur.
- The Crimson is coached by The Paul M. Weissman '52 Director of Harvard Golf, Fred Schernecker '89, as well as the head coach of women's golf, Kevin Rhoads. Schernecker is in his 24th season with the program while Rhoads returns for his 18th year.
