WORCESTER, Mass. – The Harvard Lightweight Rowing team completed its regular season this weekend on Lake Quinsigamond at the Eastern Sprints Regatta. The first varsity eight crew took home second place in the petite final while the fourth and fifth varsity eight crews walked away with third-place finishes.
 
The day kicked off with the 3V's heat in which it placed third, putting them in the Grand Final later on in the afternoon. The 1V and 2V Crews walked finished in fourth in their respective heats, putting them in the petite final.
 
The fifth varsity eight crew placed third in its Grand Final to kick off the second half of the competition. The fourth varsity crew took fourth in its Grand Final before the third varsity boat took sixth in its race.
 
The second varsity crew took care of business in the petite final, posting a 2.2-second win over Penn and Dartmouth, respectively. The 1V followed with a narrow, two-second defeat to Penn in the Petite Final to take second and eight in the overall competition.
 
UP NEXT
The Harvard Lights will have several weeks to rest, recover and prepare for the IRA National Championships on June 3-5 in West Windsor, N.J. on Mercer Lake.
