KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Incoming sophomore Jade Rose from Harvard Women's Soccer landed on the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Players to Watch list for the 2022 season. Following a stellar first-year season, Rose landed on the list with only 34 other defenders in the nation. Rose was also only one of three Ivy League student-athletes to earn the honor.
The lists are being released for the first time this season by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and first or second team All-Region players from 2021, who are scheduled to return for the 2022 season.
Rose was an integral piece on the Harvard defense last season, earning spots on the All-Ivy First Team, Top Drawer Soccer's First-year Best XI First Team along with being named First Team All-East Region. The Canadian also garnered a spot on Top Drawer Soccer's Postseason First-year Top 100 at No. 9 and Midseason First-year Top 100 at No. 12.
Rose will return to Harvard's back-line this Fall and hopes to add to her already impressive resume in 2022.
